The Crazy Circle of Grief

Wednesday, August 31, 2022 @ 11:15 am

PROGRAM
Grief is something that no one wants to happen in their life, but something that most all of us encounter at some point. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross was one of the first to develop a sense of method for grief. Her five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, are indeed a part of the grieving process. However, these stages are not as stair-stepped or linear as they are often interpreted. This program examines the grieving process in a way that expands the stages of Kubler-Ross with a concept called The Crazy Circle of Grief. The throws of grief are something we indeed move beyond, but losing a loved one is not something we “get over.” It is simply something we come to terms with as we move beyond the crazy circle.
