With her ever-present servant’s heart, this entrepreneur began in college to teach non-profit owners how to build and manage their own new businesses. Next she lead a challenging grant writing effort to receive federal funding for the first Law School Preparatory Institute at the University of Texas – El Paso. On another less traveled path, she served as a Juvenile Public Defender, then Prosecutor. She will share how the lessons gleaned from these diverse experiences led to working with clients from around the world.

Founding her own business, Stratus Public Relations, President and CEO Michelle Hundley is honored to work with several foreign consulates in Houston and helps them focus on further development of trade. The skills she has mastered foster more opportunities for our Houston region. Stratus counts among its clients a logistics company, an art gallery, and international businesses located in Turkey and Germany. Applying her acquired life lessons, she even created The Influential Circle, a unique networking community of women.

As Robert Frost eloquently wrote, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” Follow along in this life of taking roads less traveled. Gain an inside look at how each career step from assisting a state representative to creating for herself previously nonexistent positions from within each new organization. The journey led from the Port of Houston, to Air Products and Chemicals, to the Economic Alliance. You’ll see inside a change agent and how she loves creating new paths. Prepare to come away committed to maximizing your potential to boost business, foster leadership, enhance abilities, and champion the success of women in the workplace

She also served as the Director of Community Relations for the Port of Houston Authority and Regional Manager of Government and Community Relations for Air Products and Chemicals. Her previous professional experiences also include acting as Legislative Aide to a Texas State Representative and practicing law as an Associate District Attorney in El Paso.

A graduate of the University of Texas – El Paso, Ms. Hundley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and psychology, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s of Professional Studies in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University.
