RSVPs are due by noon on the Monday prior to each meeting as online registration automatically closes at that time. “Who Am I?,” DNA Testing

After insights into who you are, this program will explain the reasons to know your DNA information. You’ll hear an introduction to those companies performing genetic DNA tests. You’ll learn what they offer and receive a hand out with a list of companies. Most important, you will find out how to use your DNA information, see an example of a report print out, and there will be time for your questions.

SPEAKER
 Helen R. Hortman Park is an accomplished businesswoman, educator, inventor, and speaker with extensive experience in the biotechnology business. She is former Interim CEO/CFO of Power3 Medical Products, Inc., a publicly-traded biotechnology company, where she spearheaded the development of a significant portfolio of intellectual property while growing the company’s market capitalization from $3M to $53M. Helen is also the founder and CEO of Bronco Technology Inc., BioTec Concierge, Vita Scan, and founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Advanced Bio/Chem, Inc. (d/b/a ProtēEx). She spent two decades as a cancer research scientist in pharmacology at Baylor Medical College and diagnostic test development at the UTMDACC. She taught chemistry at Sam Houston State University. Helen has authored over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is an inventor on numerous patent applications. She serves on several boards of scientific, charitable, and civic organizations and has won numerous honors, including Business and Professional Woman of the Year. Helen received a B.S. in Chemistry from Sam Houston State University and a M.S. in Biochemistry from Baylor University College of Medicine. She is married with five children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
