Program: My Brother’s Keeper
As the mentors, teachers and leaders of the upcoming generations, adults (unfortunately) do not always provide the best examples for children to emulate. Verdan McLean believes the teachers will receive joy when given the opportunity to teach children and see the lessons applied in their lives. After writing three books for adults, she will talk about her motivation to write a book for children.
Verdan McLean, author and gospel singer, is from the Island of Dominica in the West Indies, where she attended Delices Government School. She retired from Baylor College of Medicine after working as a Laboratory Technician II for 15 years. McLean has been a featured guest speaker at the Women’s Convention at the Pickering Evangelical Church of God in Ontario, Canada, for the last 10 years. She is Pastor of I Am The Lord Ministries. McLean writes books, poems, plays and songs. She also enjoys creating and embellishing blankets, pillows, and lace handkerchiefs for adults and children. “My greatest desire is that people would live a righteous life.” |
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to marketing@hfcw.org.
