Her role was in development in both didactic and clinical areas. While teaching full-time at HCC\, she challenged herself to work toward a master’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration on Education. After achieving this accomplishment in 2012\, she took a less stressful role as adjunct faculty in the Dental Hygiene Department at Lone Star College in Kingwood. \nAfter retiring in 2016\, she now devotes time to her art focusing on nature. She works with two disparate mediums: graphite and clay. Using graphite\, most of her drawings are of animals. She especially love producing portraits of pets (Pet Portraits by Percell). Her studies with clay feature subjects in nature (Natures Art of Texas). She hand builds or sculpts myriad animals and the natural objects that catch her eye.
