Although some progress has been made with women reaching the uppermost levels of leadership in government and business, we still have a long way to go before we have equitable representation at the table. You will learn of the facts and figures, successes, and failures, and discover ways each of us can promote the idea that women can lead as well as men, although perhaps with a different style. Lee will present a review of her WiVLA (Women in the Visual and Literary Arts) ECO Fund grant project "Locked in Love" inspired by the European custom where newly married couples attach an engraved padlock to a bridge railing and toss the key in the water below to symbolize their commitment to love each other always. With her ever-present servant's heart, this entrepreneur began in college to teach non-profit owners how to build and manage their own new businesses. Next she lead a challenging grant writing effort to receive federal funding for the first Law School Preparatory Institute at the University of Texas – El Paso. On another less traveled path, she served as a Juvenile Public Defender, then Prosecutor.
