  • Membership Information


    HFCW extends the opportunity of membership to both men and women. A prospective member must:
    • be engaged in or retired from a business or profession at a decision-making level or actively pursuing college-level or higher education.
    • be interested in and actively supportive of HFCW’s purpose.
    • deliver a completed application with dues to HFCW's Marketing Coordinator.
    If the eligibility requirements are met, the Board will confirm the new membership.

  • Membership Benefits

    Benefits of Membership in Houston Focus on Concerns for Women (formerly Houston Financial Council for Women, founded 1974).
    • Monthly luncheon programs of interest to Houston women.
    • Ideas, friendship, fun, camaraderie, laughter, networking, support, solutions, and knowledge.
    • Inclusion of member bios, descriptions of their businesses, and URLs on HFCW.org.
    • Opportunities to present a program at a monthly meeting annually.
    • Occasional special meetings, field trips, and member teas.
    • Automatic membership in the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW.org).
    • Access to the informal answer bank. In other words, ask an HFCW member your question. One of our members either knows the answer or knows someone who has the answer.
    • No continuous fund raising. We are an all-volunteer organization and we don't maintain a large treasury. We don't regularly support charities but occasionally HFCW makes donations or gives to activities supporting children and women.

  • HFCW Dues Usage

    • The HFCW website.
    • Lunch for our speakers.
    • Dues to the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW), of which HFCW has been a member since 1986.
    • Our honoree's ticket to the FHPW gala, if we choose to honor an HFCW member.

  • Become a Member

    Annual membership dues are $80, if you apply between January 1 and June 30. If you apply between July 1 and December 31, dues are $40.

  • The purpose of the Houston Focus on Concerns for Women is to further, by all proper and legitimate agencies and means, professional development and business ethics, to encourage personal and professional growth, to encourage global and financial awareness and to support activities which encourage professional, ethical, civic and fiscal responsibility for executive and entrepreneurial women.

    HFCW is a member of the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW).
